Installation Issue with username/password
Posted: 17 Mar 08 2:34 PM
In the setup process, for item #3 (username, password and email set up) whenever I enter a username/password and hit the "next" button nothing happens. My data is cleared and it won't go through.

If I enter nothing in those fields and try to proceed, it gives me an error.

Any idea why?

In step #2 (setup.asp?action=2), were all 15 items marked as: "Passed"?

If yes, please email FTP to 20/20 Applications by using the form on our website:

Yes, all items have passed.

I'm not clear on exactly what you need me to email you though? I will send you the direct link in the email form  you just pasted.

Thank you for your help.

Who is your hosting provider? I have had this problem two times while using GoDaddy.

The first time I had the problem, I didn't move the 2020applications.mdb to the access_db folder that is supplied by GoDaddy when you enable MS Access support. I moved it, made the changes in connections.asp and all was well.

The second time I had this problem, GoDaddy changed their hosting control panel around and even though I got past the page right before the login without any errors, the permissions were not set correctly on my folder that houses datashed. I went into the "IIS Settings" page of the hosting control panel, fixed the permissions and I was on my way for the second time.

So, the moral of the story is, it is most likely a permissions issue.

Thank you for emailing me a link to your website.

I breezed through the setup with no errors.  If you wish to start over, then please upload a fresh database... otherwise the username and password I used to run through the setup process was: testtest / passpass
